LIFE UPDATE.

So you all must be wondering what brings me back to the world of blogging right? Well I damn sure have missed it. There's just something about putting pen to paper or should I say fingers to keyboard that is so relaxing and don't get me wrong, this does not mean that my journey with youtube is stopping, in fact I'm in the middle of editing part 2 of my Dubai vlog so make sure you're subscribed to keep posted! As I was saying, I have really missed this part of my life and I guess a reason as to why I stopped was because I had nothing to write about and I probably still have nothing to write about but this evening, after finishing up an episode of The Vampire Diaries (which was amazing btw), I saw my blog's bookmark and thought that it's about time that I started typing again, so here I am. 

YOUTUBER OR NAAA?

Well yes I guess... I mean I totally uploaded my first video the other day (no biggie) and the amount of support I got back was amazing so thank you so much, your love is highly appreciated. I'm nearly at 100 subscribers and I've only got 1 video up, which is bloody unbelievable - I guess when you put your mind to it, great things can come out of it! I have been wanting to post something for ages now and my friends and family know this, so when I did finally put something up, it was as if Donald Trump didn't get the presidency (a good thing for those of you who are confused) :D Please go and subscribe to my channel (linked HERE) and go watch my latest and only video: Eyebrow Tutorial and show some support by liking, commenting and sharing! February Favourites.

I mean let's just pretend like I actually uploaded a January Favourites post last month just to make me feel better and more productive when we all know I didn't unfortunately. I was quite busy and tbh it didn't really come to mind to whip something up, as I was mainly focused on school and there were no new products that I fell in love with. As opposed to the month of February however, where I was introduced to a few new products or actually had the time to really like them. STREET STYLE SHOOT | #BLOGGER

When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. So when life hands you a photographer, you make them take photos of you. 

A couple of days ago I went on a mini adventure with my friend Alfie and you guessed it.. he's the 'so called' photographer who I'm referring to. He kindly offered his services and I took him up on his offer, as I wanted the experience from the awesome opportunity of being apart of a 'photoshoot'. Collective Haul | Morphe, Anastasia Beverly Hills & More...

After successfully saving up to over £100 in 2 months, I felt the need to spend a bit of that money and treat myself to some products that I've been wanting to have for forever now. Keeping tabs on what the latest hits have been in the beauty world for the last year or so, my 'makeup I want' list seemed to just be growing and so buying some of the items on that list, seemed like the most logical explanation at the time, to stop the list from eventually taking up the whole of my desktop. A con of living in the UK is that it's quite difficult to get a hand on those oh so popular American brands (basically what this post is on) but thankfully for Beauty Bay, I was able to purchase the necessities. Even though they do have "over 200 brands" they're not exactly the ones that I want and even the ones that I like that are there, they don't sell all of their products for example Anastasia Beverly Hills - they don't sell her liquid lipsticks (which I'm just dying to buy more of). Lush Cosmetics Haul.

Now if you know me, you'd probably know that if I could, I'd live in a Lush store, probably forever, but actually only if they created edible products, because the people who know me, also know that I can't live without food either. My birthday was around a week ago (go and check out my 'birthday presents haul' if you haven't already) and only yesterday did I have my 'birthday party' - I just had some family and friends round my house.. and they bought me some lovely gifts from Lush. 15TH BIRTHDAY PRESENTS HAUL

"MUSLIMS DON'T CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS, YOU'RE HARAM..." - what I got told by a little year 7 boy on my birthday, when I was outside my french class. And I was by far not offended lol, it was actually quite funny, I couldn't stop laughing. Now I understand that birthdays are not celebrated in Islam, as it is not part of the religion and the Prophet (SAW) didn't do it and I understand that it is a cultural thing but the religion doesn't forbid cultural practises as long as they don't conflict with Islamic principles. Some families may not agree with the birthday celebrations and too be honest, mine don't 'do it big' either, we just like to get each other gifts and show our love and appreciation, and that is what this post will be about- simply what I got! 15TH BIRTHDAY WISHLIST.

If you know me, you know that I'm a sucker for receiving gifts AND don't get me wrong, I'm a gift giver too, however there's just something about unwrapping presents from your friends and family and wondering what they got you and too be honest, the worst thing would be getting something that you've already got or not 100% being its hugest fan. When I posted my 14TH BIRTHDAY WISHLIST (linked here) it was actually quite helpful for other people, because they knew what to get me or got a small idea and it was actually quite a popular post on Macaroons Makeup & Me in general, so I thought why not give my readers what they want once again. What Are My New Year's Resolutions?

Well isn't that a jolly good question and quite a difficult one too. New Years Resolutions have been around for quite some time now and too be honest I'm not 100% sure who actually sticks to them. Like maybe for the first month when you're thinking "yes I can do it, I'll wake up at 6 and go for a 5 mile jog" and then you begin to realise that you'd rather sleep for the rest of the year and wait to make the same resolutions for 2017. Or when you say to yourself "Sumayyah, you need to get into shape!", but what shape are we really talking about? A melting pumpkin :( (JIMMY FALLON REFERENCE) Well I've decided that I'm actually going to make some of my own this year and maybe HOPEFULLY carry them out for as long of a time period as I can - preferably in a year's time. 01/01.17 So if you'd like to know what my new year's resolutions are supposed to be, then please keep on reading and enjoy laughing at me.
